Edra

She nods and disappears, moments later coming back through the door placing this full mug of ale in front of you Rookk, taking the empty one. She looks outside, kind of checking on the streets — not in a very paranoid sort of fashion, but one just out of safety, or reassurance, and of course curiosity.

Overview

Edra is the proprietor of the soap maker's shop in Wickward, one of the oldest cantons in the outer ring. She runs the shop. She actually makes the soap. She also provides cover and shelter to Resistance cells, who use her back room above the shop for meetings.

Appearance

Middle-aged. Small. Apron always on. Hair tied back. A face that has been kind to a great many people across a great many quiet years.

She smiles often. She does not smile broadly.

Personality

Observant in a way that makes the trained suspicious. She reads rooms. She refills mugs without being asked because she knows when a man is on his second one. She walks to the window and checks the street before placing your drink, and the check is not paranoid — it is thorough, in the way that someone who has had this shop for a long time and intends to keep it for longer becomes thorough.

She does not ask questions of her customers. She does not ask questions of her tenants. She does not ask questions of the people who come up the stairs at night. She does not need to.

Role in Session 01

  • Provided the meeting room above her shop for the party's rendezvous with Thresh.
  • Brought ale to Rookk twice. Did not bring it to anyone who declined.
  • Glanced through the shutters at the rain and the street before bringing the second mug. Said nothing about what she saw.
  • Waved the party off as they departed into the rain, without question.

Relationships

  • The Resistance — Long-term operational support. Probably not formally a member; the relationship is older and quieter than a recruitment.
  • Thresh — Knows him on sight. Allowed him to use her room without an advance signal.

Still in Wickward as of session end. Still making soap. Still not asking questions.
